Accessibility  Statement

This statement reflects our ongoing efforts to make our ophthalmology website and practice accessible to individuals with disabilities. We strive to ensure that all users can access the information and resources available on our site with ease and convenience.

What web accessibility is

Ensuring web accessibility means that individuals with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the content on our site effectively. We are dedicated to providing an inclusive online environment for all visitors.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

Our ophthalmology website complies with the WCAG [2.0] guidelines, and we have tailored the site to meet the level of  AA. Various adjustments, such as implementing clear heading structures and adding alternative text to images, have been made to enhance accessibility.

Our commitment to accessibility includes using the Accessibility Wizard to identify and address potential issues, setting the language and content order of the site's pages, and ensuring that all multimedia content meets accessibility standards.

Accessibility arrangements in the organization

As an ophthalmology practice, we have implemented various accessibility arrangements in our physical offices to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access our services comfortably. We have taken measures to provide a welcoming and accessible environment for all

These include:

  • A specific marked ACROD bay in the car park

  • A ramp from the carpark to the building with a handrail

  • A larger bathroom with handrails.

Please note that due to the physical limitations of the building, which was constructed in 1905, the minimum door width in the practice to access all areas is 870mm.
